motive was founded by Katie Harrison and Jenifer Willig.
Prior to founding motive, Jenifer led (RED), the organization founded by Bono and Bobby Shriver to fight AIDS in Africa, to momentous growth over her four-year tenure. Working with some of the largest companies in the world, Jenifer was inspired to continue to innovate models that built business and delivered sustainable social impact.
In 2013 she was named one of the 10 Most Generous Marketing Geniuses by Catchafire’s Generosity Series, featured on Fast Company, and recognized as one of the 40 women over 40 to watch (fortyover40.com/2013-honorees/). Jenifer is also the co-founder of WHOLE WORLD Water, a social enterprise raising money to provide access to clean and safe water around the world, and on the board of the I AM WATER Conservation Trust.
Prior to founding motive, Katie was the head of strategic planning for creative agency Bartle Bogle Hegarty (BBH). In 2011 she set up a successful brand consultancy unit within BBH NY working with clients such as BBC Worldwide, Cole Haan, World Gold Council & UNICEF. Katie’s passion for using creativity to solve business challenges helps her create simple innovative ideas with a clear sense of purpose.
Prior to becoming Head of Strategy in New York, Katie was Head of International Planning at BBH. She led ZAG, BBH’s brand invention unit and spearheaded sustainability initiatives within the company. Katie has served on a number of industry awards juries, most recently the 2014 AICP Next awards and 2013 4A’s Jay Chiat awards for Strategic Excellence for social impact.
